Stabilizers | Propeller Guards Adventure Marines StabilizersJust thought I'd drop you a quick note to let you know I had a chance to run my 12-1/2' portable with the 1000 stabilizer on my Nissan 5hp. I am very happy with the results! I was having some ventilation issues on my rig, which the stabilizer has completely eliminated. In addition, my hole shot has improved and I can maintain planing speed at lower throttle. Yours is the only product I've found that is made specifically for smaller motors and actually fits on my Nissan. Many thanks again for your help. Adventure Marine Rocks! Todd Voigt - St.Albert, Alberta. Canada I would like to take this opportunity
to let you know that since I have installed your Adventure Stabilizer to my twin
250hp Yamaha outboard motors on my 30' Grady White Marlin boat, it has made a drastic difference in
performance! Fil Jorge We tried the stabilizer on the new long shaft 20hp with our new boats yesterday, and found it gave a quicker, flatter acceleration - and no spray. As we are going to go up front with 16 boats (20hp - 35hp Johnsons) we would like to order a dozen through Adventure Marine. Please advise us on the cost etc., we will be opening May 1st at the Anchor Inn. Thank You. Blair McLean I'm going to keep the 15 horsepower Evinrude 2 stroke because of its
extremly low profile... stealthy for winter duck hunting!!!! I removed
and junked
the hydrofoil... ready to mount a new Adventure Marine mod. 1000 stabilizer
in its place. Bankes boats are right on the money regards transom mounting
heights / cavitation plate placement for peak efficiency. Your product
functioned flawlessly and dramaticaly enhanced performance on my Yamaha
4 stroke, while the hydrofoil type product, (without ample water above
the wing) was rendered totally ineffective and detrimental to performance. Frank Carey - Rensselaer, N.Y, USA These stabilizers (not to be confused with common hydrofoil type) really enhance performance on the Intruder! With any appropriate power your customers will be amazed. You should definately try a model 1100 on the Dominator... It will make a 25HP act like a 40 but without the increase in fuel. Frank Carey - Rensselaer, N.Y, USA Adventure Marines Propeller GuardsTo: Adventure Marine Hello again. I am writing to tell you about an incident that happened friday evening involving one of your propellar line guards. I think you will find this very interesting and may want to post it on your website. Frankly, I'm impressed. As you know, I have started marketing your propellar guards to rescue agencies on the east coast. As part of that effort, I have outfitted two of our training boats with your propellar line guards, and have been using them all season. Yesterday evening, what could have been a very bad situation was prevented when our propellar was saved by the line guard on our 100 hp Yamaha outboard. We were cruising the Delaware River friday evening at approximately 32 mph when we struck a large submerged object floating about 8-10 inches below the surface, and not visible from topside. Being adrift in mid-channel in the port of Philadelphia at night is not a desirable situation, but while the line guard was severely damaged, our composite propellar remained totally undamaged. While we had to limp back upstream at 1/4 speed due to the damaged propellar guard, we were able to continue on safely under our own power. Any time you hit something substantial at that speed and can continue on without having to make immediate repairs, you're having a very good day. The damage sustained bent the guard backward almost six inches, and literally tore the ring from the forward side back to one of the mounting holes. While there is a small scuff on two of the three composite blades of our prop, it remained undamaged. You might think that the deformation of the ring is a problem, but the forces involved would certainly have taken off the lower unit had the guard not deformed and absorbed the initial shock. In all, something had to give, and while the guard was damaged beyond repair it certainly protected the propellar as it was intended to. Needless to say, I will be taking photos to show my customers, because even I can't believe how well your product protected my prop. You can look forward to a re-order to replace the damaged guard within the next week. Wayne A. Sundmacher Sr., MICP, NREMT-P Thanks I received the guard yesterday. It looks great! I hope to install it in the next couple of days. Good to see pride of craftsmanship is not dead. Thomas Schneider - Oscoda, MI USA Sorry about the wait. I had to trim the upper cut out with a rubber
wheel, I lost about 4mph on top end Thomas Schneider - Oscoda, MI USA The wheels arrived fine and look great! They will be installed soon on my Achilles LSI-88 and will get me from my Chevy Avalanche to various river and lake launch sites. The Achilles at 72 # plus gear like fly rod, rod holder, landing net, oars, NRS rowing frame, maybe Yamaha 2hp for lake use, one gallon gas tank, is a little too much weight for me to handle alone. Plus, for example, on the Madison River in Montana, I might drift various 12 mile stretches and have the truck shuttled to the take out point. When I reach there it will invariably be a difficult take out ramp and it will also be difficult carry the inflatable 150 yards or more the where the truck will be parked by the shuttle person. Then the flip down wheels will be very handy to get me clear of the ramp and to the truck where I can unload the gear at leisure, thus saving several trips to the take out ramp. So I am looking forward to using the wheels extensively. They look like top quality. John Heinrichs - Madison, WI USA I have a Yamaha 9.9 HP, 4 stroke high thrust trolling motor on a 24 foot aluminum cabin cruiser. The prop is currently uncovered and I just ate another downrigger line in a high wind today. I would like to guard the prop as this is the 4th time i've wound line. Could you give me a cost for your propeller line guard? Doug & Peg Albertson - Portland, OR USA P.R.I. "Rescue Training Specialists" installed a Propeller
Line Guard on our 14' Inflatable Rescue Boat last season, for use in our
swiftwater rescue training programs. Not only has the guard prevented
costly damage to our prop in swallow water exercises and minimized risks
to swimmers and divers, but our experience also indicates that it
has minimized problems with cavitation and has improved overall
performance. We now recommend your Propeller
Line Guard for use on rescue boats owned by agencies taking our training
programs. Several fellow BCAers and many others have enviously noted our dinghy wheels (which are an absolute must down here). These can be raised and lowered quickly with a spring loaded snap-in-place pin. Most of these envious cruisers left this purchase until San Diego, then couldn't find anything but the conventional pin-insertion wheels. The irony is that our wheels are the best we have seen anywhere, large pneumatic tire and strong aluminum casting, and are made right at home by Adventure Marine Mfg. Inc. of Surrey, BC. We got them through Eric at Steveston Marine downtown. They were about $25 more than the regular wheels, but you will not begrudge a single penny. Barrie and Karen |
