Buy an Adventure Marine
Stabilizer
28 years of proven performance!
|
The original stabilizer - since 1976, 28 years of proven
performance. Eliminates visibility hazards during acceleration.
Eliminates porpoising. "Thin" anti-drag stabilizer
improves performance, eliminates cavitation. Stabilizer is mounted
under anti-cavitation plate on outboard and inboard/outboard motors.
Once cruising speed is reached, reduce RPM and still maintain same
speed. Save fuel and wear and tear. Stabilizer extends aft of motor
and reduces wake for water skiers. More solid water around propeller
improves performance and top speed.
Easy installation, all mounting hardware supplied. Made of high
tensile 6061-T6 marine grade aluminum. The rear 1" has 12°
trim-tab bend down. Electrostatically powder coated in black.

Why Buy an Adventure Marine Stabilizer?
Adventure Stabilizers operate on the principal of water pressure, pushing
against the downward surface of the stabilizer, thereby generating an
upward pressure. This upward pressure forces the stern of the boat up
and the bow down into a planing position.
Stabilizers operate on the aerodynamic principal to generate a greater
pressure on the downward surface of the stabilizer and a lesser pressure
on the upward surface, thereby generating lift which forces the stern
of the boat up and the bow down.
Advantages of Adventure Stabilizers
Less boat speed required to get the boat to planing speed. Hydrofoils
require greater boat speed to produce "lift" over top of hydrofoil.
Adventure Stabilizers are manufactured of high tensile aluminum alloy
6061 - T6. Model 1000 is 1/8", Model 1100 is 3/16" and Model
1200 is 1/4" thin, creating very minimal friction. The
rear of the Adventure Stabilizer has a 1" wide trim tab bent
down 12 degrees for maximum lift and stability. Hydrofoils have a "wing
design"
similar to airplane wings with the front of the wing being as thick as
1 inch and more. This creates considerable more water friction and loss
of top speed.
Adventure Stabilizers ideally operate just below the surface of the water
at planing speed, causing minimal water friction. Outboard manufactures
recommend for the anti-cavitation plate of the outboard bracket to be
just below the surface of the water at planing speed. As the Adventure
Stabilizer is mounted on the underside of the anti-cavitation plate, it
does not interfere with the motor manufacturers recommended operation
of the outboard.
Hydrofoils must be operated at least 2 to 3 inches below the surface
of the water to generate the pressure differential downward and upward
surface of the hydrofoil. This results in considerable water friction
and additional power /RPM required to come to planing speed.
