Q: What material is it made of?
A: High grade marine aluminum alloy 6061-T6, electro statically
powder coated in black.
Q: How is it installed?
A: With 6 – ¼” stainless steel cap screws
and lock nuts. 3 on each side of the anti-cavitation
plate. The Stabilizer is installed below the anti-cavitation plate, in
about 30- 40 minutes. All fasteners supplied.
Q: What tools do I need?
A: An electric hand drill, 5/16” high speed drill bit
and two 7/16” open end wrenches.
Q: What benefits will I get from the Stabilizer?
A: The Adventure Stabilizer is “thin” and
therefore does create very little friction and drag. Similar products
made of plastic with “thick” frontal area create a lot of
drag and loss of speed, specially at high RPM. You will notice less fuel
consumption at all speeds. At high speed up to 20% or better. Therefore
less wear on the motor. You will get “out of the hole faster“
and reduce if not eliminate “ porpoising “. Once you have
reached planing speed, you can reduce RPM and still maintain same planing
speed.
Q: Will the Stabilizer work for water-skiing?
A: Yes – extremely well. You will be up faster with
less effort. Much less wake. Smoother water to ski on.
Q: Will visibility be better?
A: Yes – with the bow of the boat down, the driver can
see better and it is safer.
